Job Description

IBN Technologies is looking for an experienced Team Manager Accounting & Financial Operations to lead and manage a high-performing accounting team supporting US-based clients. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in end-to-end US Accounting, US GAAP, Record-to-Report (R2R), General Ledger, Financial Reporting, and Month-End Close, along with proven experience in team leadership and client management.

The candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and driving continuous process improvements. This role requires close coordination with US clients and internal stakeholders while ensuring service quality, SLA adherence, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end US accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Record-to-Report (R2R) processes.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Review and finalize Balance Sheet reconciliations, Profit & Loss statements, Cash Flow statements, and other financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, internal controls, and organizational accounting policies.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and support statutory and financial audits.
• Review journal entries, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, intercompany transactions, and reconciliations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team by assigning work, monitoring productivity, conducting performance reviews, and providing regular coaching.
• Manage client communication, resolve escalations, and ensure high-quality service delivery within agreed SLAs.
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
• Prepare MIS reports, variance analysis, management reports, and financial dashboards for leadership.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and financial planning.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in US Accounting and US GAAP.
• Hands-on experience with Record-to-Report (R2R) processes.
• Expertise in General Ledger, Month-End Close, Financial Statement Preparation, and Balance Sheet Reconciliation.
• Experience managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations.
• Good understanding of Intercompany Accounting, Accruals, Journal Entries, and Financial Reporting.
• Experience working with QuickBooks, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or similar ERP systems.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven experience in leading and managing finance or accounting teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting US clients in a shared services or BPO environment.
• Knowledge of SOX Compliance, US Sales Tax, and audit coordination.
• Experience with process automation and finance transformation initiatives.
• Exposure to tools such as Bill.com, Stripe, or other accounting automation platforms is an added advantage.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CA, CMA, MBA (Finance), or equivalent professional qualification will be preferred.
