Job summary

GoodSpace AI is seeking a Team Lead - US Accounting to manage projects and lead a dedicated team serving US-based clients from our Ahmedabad office. The role requires strong business acumen and excellent interpersonal skills to ensure high-quality service delivery and client satisfaction.

You will supervise budgeting, forecasting, and financial statement analysis, while coordinating task allocation, audits, and tax document preparation.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in US Accounting
• 2+ years in a managerial or leadership role in US Accounting
• Proficiency in accounting software including Xero, Zoho Books, QuickBooks (Online & Desktop), and Sage
• Advanced proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel, Outlook, and Teams
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client management
• Chartered Accountant (CA) or CPA designation is highly preferred

The Team Lead - US Accounting will be responsible for managing both projects and a dedicated team while maintaining direct client communication. This role requires a professional with strong business acumen and interpersonal skills to oversee complex accounting functions and ensure high-quality service delivery for US-based clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Compile and analyze financial statements while managing budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Oversee task allocation to team members and resolve internal queries to ensure smooth operations.
• Handle direct communication with clients, including monthly meetings and tracking client-specific deadlines.
• Participate in audit preparation and prepare necessary tax documents.
• Create ad-hoc reports for various business needs and prepare or review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Perform detailed reviews of accounts and ensure all accounting functions are executed accurately.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience specifically in the US Accounting process.
• At least 2 years of experience in a managerial or leadership role within US Accounting.
• Demonstrated proficiency in accounting software including Xero, Zoho Books, QuickBooks (Online and Desktop), and Sage.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to manage client relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

• CA (Chartered Accountant) or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation is highly preferred.
