Job summary

V.Group in Mumbai is seeking an IT Support professional to provide high level support for group systems, communicate with end users, and resolve issues, traveling to vessels and offices as required.

You will work within the IT department, handle helpdesk tasks, support on-board systems, manage hardware, printers, and network basics, and ensure security policies are followed. Strong English communication and desktop/laptop knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with end users.
• Good communication skills in English, written and spoken.
• Proficient with desktops, laptops and tablets.
• Strong knowledge of printers.
• Moderate knowledge of servers.
• Experience with Windows 10+ operating systems.
• Microsoft Active Directory administration (on prem and Azure).
• Microsoft Office suite including O365.
• Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, switches and LAN and WAN topologies.
• Basic knowledge of vessel communications and systems.

Responsibilities

• Supporting all VGroup business systems, including in-house and off-the-shelf applications.
• Adhere to policies and procedures in VGroup VMS and IT policy documents.
• Provide telephone and remote support as part of the global team and maintain professionalism.
• Use service desk system to update users during requests lifecycle and resolve or elevate as needed.
• Attend vessels to provide IT support to on-board systems and provide telephone support to vessels.
• Support all aspects of hardware used within the Group.
• Enforce IT security policy and procedures.
• Attend remote office visits and provide required support.
• Helpdesk administration as required.
• Work within SLA laid down by IT management.

Overall Purpose of The Job

To provide a high level of Support for the systems within the Group. Communicating with end users and helping to resolve any problems they have. Work within the structure of the IT department and maintain a professional level of behaviours.

To travel to both vessels and offices when required and provide the necessary support. Work within the Support infrastructure and carry out the duties required from helpdesk support to project support.

Work within the SLA's of external and internal customers.

Key Responsibilities And Tasks

• Supporting all VGroup Business Systems , these include in house applications and off the shelf applications used by VGroup
• Strictly adhere to the policies and procedures put in place by the VGroup VMS and IT policy documents.
• Provide telephone and remote support as part of the global team and maintaining a professional manner when dealing with users and peers.
• Working with the service desk system to update users during the lifecycle of the request and resolve or elevate as required.
• Attending Vessels to provide IT support to the on-board systems. Provide Telephone support to Vessels.
• Supporting all aspects of hardware used within the Group.
• Enforcing the IT security policy and procedures.
• Attending remote Office Visits and providing the support required.
• Helpdesk administration as required
• Work within SLA laid down by IT management
