Job summary

OPT IT in Bengaluru, India is seeking an L2 System Administrator to provide advanced support, manage Windows and Linux infrastructure, and ensure system availability and performance. You will handle AD, DNS, DHCP, patching, backups, monitoring, and incident resolution, coordinating with L1/L3 teams and vendors while documenting SOPs and ITSM tickets.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, communication, and ITIL/ITSM practices, with a focus on maintaining secure, reliable, and scalable IT

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux systems.
• Experience with Active Directory, group policy and networking concepts.
• Experience with VMware/Hyper-V, backups, patching and monitoring.

• Troubleshoot networking, DNS, DHCP, VPN, hardware, and application issues
• Support virtualization, cloud infrastructure, antivirus, and security controls
• Perform incident management, root-cause analysis, and problem resolution
• Maintain documentation, SOPs, asset records, and ITSM tickets
• Coordinate with L1, L3, network, security, application, and vendor teams

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and networking
• Hands-on experience with VMware/Hyper-V, backups, patch management, and monitoring tools
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and ITIL/ITSM skills

Educational Qualifications

Any technical degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field; ITIL Foundation certification is an advantage.

Preferred

• Knowledge of PowerShell or Shell scripting is preferred
