Job Title: L2 Windows Administrator

Location: Pan India (Relocate to Dubai)

Experience: 5-10 Years

Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled and proactive L2 Windows Administrator to join our IT infrastructure team. The candidate will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Windows-based systems and related infrastructure. This role involves resolving escalated incidents from L1 support, performing system maintenance, and supporting server and virtualization environments to ensure optimal performance, stability, and security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle escalated issues from L1 teams and ensure timely resolution.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting for Windows servers, Active Directory, Exchange, and virtualization environments (VMware, ESXi, Hyper‑V).
  • Identify root causes of recurring problems and implement permanent corrective measures.
System Maintenance and Monitoring
  • Monitor system health and performance using tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, or similar.
  • Perform routine maintenance activities like patching, firmware upgrades, backups, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Ensure system uptime, performance optimization, and security compliance.
Configuration and Deployment
  • Assist in configuration, installation, and deployment of servers, storage, and virtualization platforms.
  • Implement and manage user access controls, group policies, and security baselines.
  • Support system migrations and infrastructure upgrades in collaboration with L3 engineers.
Documentation and Reporting
  • Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, incident resolutions, and change implementations.
  • Generate system performance reports and contribute to periodic reviews.
Collaboration
  • Work closely with L3 teams on complex incidents and advanced solution deployments.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for hardware replacement and technical support.
Qualifications and Skills
  • 6–10 years of experience in system administration or IT infrastructure support.
  • Hands‑on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, VMware, and storage systems.
Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and group policy management.
  • Proficiency with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V).
  • Familiarity with storage systems (SAN/NAS) and backup/recovery solutions.
  • Experience with monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios) and ticketing platforms (ServiceNow, Jira).
Certifications (Preferred)
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or equivalent.
  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP).
  • CompTIA Server+ or equivalent.
  • ITIL Foundation Certification.
Soft Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a 24/7 rotational support environment.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
