Job summary

OPT IT is seeking a System Operations Associate – L2 in Bengaluru to provide advanced IT operations support for infrastructure and applications. You will monitor servers, troubleshoot escalated issues, and maintain operational documentation.

Responsibilities include incident handling, root-cause analysis basics, and coordination with cross-functional teams. Prior experience with AD/Microsoft 365, backups, and ITIL processes is advantageous.

• Perform system checks, job monitoring, patching, and routine maintenance.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 support tasks.
• Investigate incidents, perform basic root-cause analysis, and coordinate resolution.
• Support backup, antivirus, availability, and security operations.
• Log, track, and update incidents using ITSM/ticketing tools.
• Escalate complex issues to L3 teams and coordinate with infrastructure, network, and application teams.
• Maintain SOPs, operational documentation, and shift handover reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor servers, applications, backups, alerts, and system performance
• Troubleshoot escalated Windows/Linux, network, DNS, VPN, and access issues
• Perform system checks, job monitoring, patching, and routine maintenance
• Manage user accounts, permissions, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 support tasks
• Investigate incidents, perform basic root-cause analysis, and coordinate resolution
• Support backup, antivirus, availability, and security operations
• Log, track, and update incidents using ITSM/ticketing tools
• Escalate complex issues to L3 teams and coordinate with infrastructure, network, and application teams
• Maintain SOPs, operational documentation, and shift handover reports

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of Windows/Linux, networking, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN

Educational Qualifications

Any technical degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.

Preferred

• Experience with cloud platforms, virtualization, PowerShell/Bash, and enterprise monitoring tools
• Willingness to work in shifts or participate in on-call support
