OPT IT in India is seeking an L1 System Engineer to provide first-level IT support, monitor infrastructure, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

You will troubleshoot desktops, servers, printers, and network issues, manage user accounts, document incidents, and escalate to L2/L3 when needed. Familiarity with Windows and basic Linux, AD, and ticketing tools is preferred.

Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and certifications such as CompTIA A+/Network+ are a plus but not required.

Formación

• Any technical degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills and customer focus.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to IT support processes.

Responsabilidades

• Escalate complex issues to L2/L3 teams and maintain support documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L1 support for desktops, laptops, servers, printers, and network connectivity
• Install, configure, and maintain Windows systems and basic Linux environments
• Monitor system alerts, backups, antivirus, and network health
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, user-access, and connectivity issues
• Manage user accounts, password resets, and basic Active Directory tasks
• Log, track, and resolve incidents through the IT ticketing system
• Escalate complex issues to L2/L3 teams and maintain support documentation

Required Skills

• Knowledge of Windows, basic Linux, networking, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
• Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, antivirus, and ticketing tools
• Good troubleshooting, communication, and customer-service skills

Educational Qualifications

Any technical degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.

Preferred

• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is a plus.
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+/Network+ are an advantage.
