Job summary

Generis Tek Staffing in Pune, India, seeks a dedicated System Administrator to support users and IT infrastructure for a US-based environment. You will provide L1/L2 support for desktops and user environments, troubleshoot Windows hardware/software issues, and perform installations, upgrades, and service packs.

Responsibilities include Active Directory user management, email/data tasks, device setup for new users, antivirus updates, and enforcing IT policies. Night shift exposure may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience with Active Directory user creation, password resets, and profile setup.
• Proficiency in Windows OS installation, troubleshooting and updates.
• Experience setting up laptops/desktops and deploying hardware.
• Experience with antivirus installation and security patches.
• Familiarity with IT support processes and ticketing systems.

Role & responsibilities

• User & System Support-
  • Provide L1/L2 technical support for desktops, laptops, and user environments
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across Windows systems
  • Perform system installations, upgrades, and service pack updates.
• Active Directory Management-
  • Create, modify, and manage user accounts and profiles in Active Directory
  • Perform password resets and access management
  • Assist in basic AD setup and maintenance.
• Email & Data Management-
  • Manage mail archiving and mailbox support tasks
  • Assist users with email-related issues and configurations.
• Device Setup & Maintenance-
  • Configure and deploy laptops and desktops for new and existing users
  • Install and update anti-virus software and security patches
  • Ensure systems are compliant with company IT policies.

Preferred candidate profile:

• Strong interest in building a career as a System Administrator
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Active Directory (user creation, password reset, profile setup)
  • Windows OS (installation, troubleshooting, updates)
• Experience in:
  • Laptop/Desktop setup and configuration
  • Hardware and software troubleshooting
  • Service packs and patch updates
  • Anti-virus installation and updates
• Basic understanding of IT support processes and ticketing systems.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to networking basics (LAN/WAN, IP configuration)
• Familiarity with remote desktop tools
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a night shift (US support environment preferred)
