Mars, Incorporated and its Affiliates in Mumbai is seeking a senior leader for Supply Chain Transformation and Operations Excellence. You will drive end-to-end improvements across factory to customer, lead digital and quick commerce supply chain development, and design scalable networks for fast fulfillment.

Lead end-to-end process improvement initiatives across the supply chain from factory to customer.
Spearhead SC automation by identifying automation opportunities, piloting, and scaling up.
Map current processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities.
Apply Lean / Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
Standardize and embed best practices across the network.
Design and evolve fit-for-purpose supply chain models for E-commerce marketplaces and Quick Commerce platforms.
Develop strategies for:
High service levels and fast fulfillment (same-day / <30 min delivery)
Optimized inventory placement (dark stores, FCs, hubs)
Managing high demand variability and SKU complexity
Bring outside-in perspectives from across the industry.
Build and execute a mid-to-long term roadmap to support accelerated growth in these channels.
Continuously adapt supply chain capabilities to meet changing customer and partner expectations.
Evaluate and optimize distribution network design, including warehouses, fulfillment centers, and last-mile models.
Drive decisions on:
Dark store and micro-fulfilment strategies
Decentralized vs centralized inventory models
Build scalable capabilities to support future growth across channels.
Identify and prioritize improvement opportunities based on impact and feasibility.
Develop robust business cases, including cost-benefit analysis and ROI.
Lead end-to-end project management: Planning, stakeholder alignment, execution, and implementation.
Ensure timely and successful delivery of initiatives.
Lead deployment and localization of Global and Regional Supply Chain projects in India.
Ensure alignment with local market dynamics, especially Digital & Quick Commerce growth requirements.
Collaborate closely with Regional Supply Chain teams.
Drive the Sustainability agenda.
Develop and own supply chain dashboards and performance reporting.
Strengthen data-driven decision making across teams.
Track key KPIs: Service level / fill rate, OTIF (On Time In Full), Speed to customer, and Cost-to-serve.
Build analytical capability within teams to support continuous improvement.
Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for new and improved processes.
Drive training and capability building across teams.
Ensure consistent adoption of improved processes.
Build strong relationships with: Sales, E-commerce, and Commercial teams; logistics and warehousing partners; and Digital and Quick Commerce platforms.
Act as a single point of contact for supply chain in business transformation initiatives.
Influence stakeholders without direct authority to drive alignment and execution.
Stay ahead of trends in Digital Commerce, Quick Commerce, and last-mile logistics.
Identify and pilot innovative solutions (e.g., hyperlocal fulfillment, automation, partner-led models).
Drive a culture of continuous improvement and agility.
Required: MBA in Supply Chain / Operations
Certification in Lean / Six Sigma preferred
Must be capable of traveling to the multiple DC locations across India
Highly innovative, ability to bring outside in perspective from similar industries.
Required
2+ years of experience in Supply Chain / Logistics / Warehousing
Strong experience in FMCG / Consumer Goods supply chains
Proven exposure to:
E-commerce supply chain operations
Quick Commerce platforms - highly preferred
Automation Projects
Strong understanding of:
Demand & Supply Planning
Inventory management and replenishment strategies
Last-mile and fast fulfillment models
Experience in process mapping and complex route-to-market supply chains
