Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in Hyderabad is seeking a construction professional to lead end-to-end delivery of structural steel works. You will coordinate all activities with the project team from planning through final construction, ensuring schedules, approvals, and quality controls are met.

You will review submittals, supervise the team, conduct inspections of materials, and interface with related trades. Emphasis on safety, good housekeeping, and timely handover and contract closure.

Responsibilities

• End to end responsibilities for the successful delivery of structural steel works.
• Co-ordination all works with Project team from initial planning through final construction.
• Schedule of approvals & Certification -Vendor, Shop drawings, Materials, Methodology, Mock Up and Execution
• Setting up work procedures, Check lists, protocols, resolving discrepancies.
• Representation of project meetings, attendance at pre-construction, pre-fabrication and construction meetings.
• Review of contractor submittals including QC plans, Supervision and general direction of the team assigned, conducting audits / interviews / inspections of material suppliers to document their ability to produce the required quality of material.
• Interfacing, networking & coordinating with related trades & services.
• Material management - Procurement & Reconciliation
• Adhere and insist on Safety and all Quality targets set.
• Target on innovations, avoid reworks & revisits, wastage control, Good housekeeping.
• Monitoring and tracking of activities in a sequential stage as per the schedule and highlighting the backlogs, if any. Holding and attending review meetings.
• Read and understand building codes, construction specifications and drawings. Inputs to Planning dept. on Revisions, changes affecting Cost & Time schedule, trouble shooting the critical needs.
• Handing over, contract closure formalities and documentation of vital records.
