Job summary

Denasa Buildcon is seeking an experienced professional to manage structural steel packages across construction projects. You will review drawings, BOQs and tonnage, coordinate with consultants, clients and fabricators to ensure on-time delivery and cost control.

The role requires strong knowledge of steel procurement, fabrication and erection costs, and hands-on coordination with vendors and subcontractors to meet project milestones.

Qualifications

• Experience in structural steel fabrication/erection and project execution.
• Ability to read and understand structural drawings.
• Knowledge of steel procurement, fabrication, painting, transportation and erection.
• Experience with fabrication vendors and erection subcontractors.
• Strong commercial and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage structural steel packages across construction projects.
• Review structural drawings, BOQs, specifications and steel tonnage.
• Coordinate with structural consultants, clients, fabricators and project teams.
• Review steel estimates, tonnage calculations and rate analysis.
• Obtain and evaluate fabrication and erection quotations.
• Develop and monitor steel package budgets.
• Coordinate procurement of structural steel, bolts, consumables and other materials.
• Coordinate fabrication drawings/detailing with external agencies/fabricators.
• Monitor fabrication progress and quality.
• Coordinate transportation and erection planning.
• Review erection methodology, crane requirements and sequencing.
• Monitor site erection progress and resolve technical/coordination issues.
• Verify measurements, subcontractor bills, variations and additional works.
• Track steel wastage, fabrication productivity and overall package cost.
• Provide management with regular updates on cost, progress, risks and commercial exposure.

• Ability to read and understand structural drawings and fabrication drawings.
• Knowledge of steel procurement, fabrication, painting, transportation and erection.
• Experience dealing with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• Strong commercial and coordination skills.
• Willingness to travel to project sites when required.
