Job summary

Sankar Sealing in Chennai, India, seeks an Inventory/Stores specialist to manage receipt, storage, and issue of materials. You will ensure accurate GRN processing in SAP and maintain inventory records for stock reconciliation.

You will monitor levels, coordinate with Purchase and Production teams, and execute SAP material transactions while ensuring 5S and safety standards. Experience in SAP MM is essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage receipt, storage, and issue of raw materials, consumables, packing materials, and finished goods.
• Ensure proper GRN processing and documentation in SAP.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and stock reconciliation.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with Purchase and Production teams for material availability.
• Execute material inward and outward transactions in SAP.
• Verify materials received against Purchase Orders, delivery challans, and invoices.
• Ensure proper storage and preservation of materials as per company standards.
• Support cycle counting, physical stock verification, and annual inventory audits.
• Coordinate with Quality team for segregation and control of rejected materials.
• Maintain FIFO/FEFO practices and ensure material traceability.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory and stores reports.
• Ensure compliance with 5S, safety requirements, IATF 16949 standards, and company policies.
• Coordinate with logistics, production, purchase, and finance departments for smooth material flow.
• Monitor slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete inventory and report to management.
• Maintain housekeeping and discipline within the stores area.
