Job summary

Thomas & Brian in Mumbai is looking for an experienced Inventory Manager to oversee accurate stock preparation and verification, ensuring proper inventory management and storage of all materials.

The ideal candidate possesses a Graduate degree in BMS/BCOM/BE Mechanical Engineering and must have 5 years of experience in a Stores department, including proficiency in ERP Software and knowledge of lean manufacturing systems.

Qualifications

• 5 years’ experience in Stores department.
• Knowledge of proper bookkeeping and inventory management.
• Knowledge and adherence to lean manufacturing systems (5S, FIFO).

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate preparation and verification of Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs).
• Oversee item code creation and maintenance within the inventory system.
• Regularly review stock statements for raw materials, components, forgings, and finished goods.
• Perform daily physical stock review for quantity, quality, identification & traceability.
• Ensure proper availability and storage of all materials.
• Review and determine minimum stock/reorder levels for various materials.
• Review and approve daily received chalans and cross verify quantity.
• Assign work to stores assistants.
• Verify and keep control on issued materials with Heat/Batch numbers.
• Monitor appropriate housekeeping of stores as a whole.
• Ensure unidentified material is tagged for inspection.

Responsibilities

• Oversee item code creation and maintenance within the inventory system.
• Regularly review stock statements for raw materials, components, forgings, and finished goods.
• Perform daily physical stock review for quantity, quality, identification & traceability daily after last transactions
• Ensure proper availability and storage of all materials.
• Review and determine minimum stock/reorder levels for various materials.
• Review and approve daily received chalans and cross verify quantity.
• Assign work to stores assistants.
• Verify and keep control on issued, received all material is recorded with Heat/Batch numbers on the basis of work order and made available to QC for certification purpose.
• Monitor appropriate housekeeping of stores as a whole.
• Ensure unidentified material is identified as “ awaiting for inspection” with tags mentioned with chalan, supplier, material, qty.
• Promptly coordinate with the QC team for material inspection.

Job/Knowledge Requirements
