Job summary

IG3INFRA LTD in Chennai seeks a Store Executive/Manager to oversee material management, inventory control, and documentation for construction sites. The role focuses on receiving, inspecting, and issuing materials, maintaining stock records, and ensuring FIFO.

You will coordinate with procurement, vendors, and site teams, ensure safety in store operations and compliance with audits. Diploma or Graduate with 6–12 years experience in construction or similar stores is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Graduate with relevant field (Civil / SCM)
• 6–12 years of experience in construction store operations or similar
• Strong knowledge of construction materials and inventory processes
• Proficient in ERP/Excel and record-keeping practices

Responsibilities

• Material Management: receive, inspect, and record incoming materials against POs and delivery challans
• Inventory Control: maintain stock records, conduct periodic audits, identify slow/non-moving items
• Documentation & Reporting: prepare stock reports and maintain GRNs, issue slips, and return notes
• Coordination: liaise with procurement, vendors, transporters and site teams for timely replenishment
• Safety & Compliance: ensure safe storage and cleanliness of the store area and compliance with policies

Role: Store Executive / Manager

Location: Thoraipakkam, Chennai

Key Responsibilities:

• Material Management
  • Receive, inspect, and record all incoming materials, ensuring they match purchase orders and delivery challans.
  • Organize and maintain materials in a safe and accessible manner.
  • Issue materials to site engineers, subcontractors, and workers as per approved requisitions.
  • Ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) system for material consumption.
• Inventory Control
  • Maintain daily records of receipts and issues in material registers or ERP software.
  • Conduct periodic stock verification and reconcile with physical inventory.
  • Identify and report slow-moving, non-moving, or damaged materials.
• Documentation & Reporting
  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly stock reports and submit them to the Project Manager and Head Office.
  • Maintain accurate records such as Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs), Issue Slips, and Return Notes.
  • Assist in internal and external audits related to store operations.
• Coordination
  • Coordinate with the procurement team for timely material replenishment.
  • Liaise with vendors, transporters, and site teams for smooth material flow.
  • Support site engineers in identifying material requirements.
• Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure proper storage of hazardous or perishable materials.
  • Maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and safety within the store area.
  • Comply with company policies, safety standards, and audit requirements.

• Education: Diploma or Graduate (preferably in Civil / Material Management / Supply Chain).
• Experience:6 to 12 years in construction store operations/other store operations.
• Skills Required:
  • Knowledge of construction materials and inventory systems
  • Computer proficiency (Excel, ERP preferred)
  • Strong record-keeping and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage manpower and coordinate with multiple teams
