Role & responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Store Manager to support the day-to-day operations of the store/dark store. The candidate will be responsible for managing store operations, inventory, rider coordination, team handling, and ensuring smooth and efficient order fulfillment.

The ideal candidate should have experience in Last Mile Operations and Dark Store Operations with strong knowledge of inventory and rider management.

Key Responsibilities

Store & Dark Store Operations

• Manage daily store operations and ensure smooth functioning of the store.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound activities.
• Monitor order processing, picking, packing, and dispatch operations.
• Ensure timely order fulfillment and adherence to operational TAT.
• Maintain compliance with company SOPs and safety standards.
• Support the Store Manager in achieving daily operational targets.

Inventory Management

• Monitor daily inventory movement and stock availability.
• Ensure proper receiving, put-away, storage, picking, and dispatch of inventory.
• Conduct regular stock checks and cycle counts.
• Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Monitor damaged, missing, excess, and ageing inventory.
• Ensure proper inventory accuracy and system updates.

Rider / Delivery Partner Management

• Coordinate with delivery riders and ensure adequate rider availability.
• Support rider onboarding and activation.
• Monitor rider attendance, login hours, productivity, and performance.
• Address rider queries and operational concerns.
• Coordinate rider deployment based on order volume and business requirements.
• Support rider engagement and retention initiatives.

Team Management

• Supervise store associates and operational staff.
• Allocate daily tasks and monitor team productivity.
• Train team members on SOPs and operational processes.
• Ensure discipline and process adherence within the store.
• Support the Store Manager in managing manpower requirements.

Performance & Reporting

• Track daily store performance and operational KPIs.
• Prepare and maintain daily MIS reports.
• Monitor order TAT, productivity, inventory accuracy, and rider performance.
• Identify operational gaps and take corrective actions.
• Escalate critical issues to the Store Manager/Operations team.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in Last Mile Operations and Dark Store Operations.
• Hands-on experience in rider/delivery partner management.
• Good understanding of warehouse/store inventory processes.
• Experience in team handling and operational coordination.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of local geography and delivery areas will be preferred.
• Basic to good knowledge of MS Excel and operational reporting.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and target-driven environment.
