Job summary

Gem Drytech Systems LLP seeks a diligent Store Executive to manage receipt, storage, issue and tracking of materials for industrial machinery manufacturing in West Bengal. You will keep accurate inventory records and ensure timely material availability for projects.

Responsibilities include GRN updates, ERP entries, stock verification, FIFO practices, SAP usage, and coordinating with Purchase, Production and QC.

Qualifications

  • Graduate or Diploma in Supply Chain / Stores Management / Mechanical Engineering.
  • Store Executive with 3–7 years of experience in Stores / Inventory / Warehouse operations.
  • Hands-on ERP/inventory software experience; SAP knowledge essential.
  • Basic understanding of FIFO, stock ageing and inventory control methods.
  • Good Excel and documentation skills.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills; attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and verify incoming materials against PO, delivery challans, and invoices.
  • Prepare and update GRN / inward entries in ERP or stock register.
  • Maintain rack-, bin-, and project-wise material traceability.
  • Record materials: raw, bought-out, electrical and mechanical components, consumables, spares.
  • Issue materials against approved requisition, BOM, or authorization.
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with Purchase on urgent needs.
  • Conduct periodic stock verification and reconcile with ERP.
  • Identify slow-moving, non-moving, excess and obsolete inventory; manage returns, rejects, scrap.
  • Preserve materials against rust, moisture, damage and mishandling; ensure housekeeping and safety.
  • Support packing and dispatch by issuing correct material and quantity for projects.
  • Maintain documentation (GRN, issue slips, challans, return notes, stock transfers) and ensure ERP updates.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly inventory reports and support audits.

Job description

Purpose of the Role:

To manage the receipt, storage, issue, tracking and control of materials used in industrial machinery manufacturing. The role ensures accurate inventory records, proper material identification and storage, and timely availability of materials as per project and production requirements, in coordination with the Purchase, Production, QC, Accounts and Project teams.

Key Area Responsibilities:
  • Receive incoming materials and verify them against Purchase Orders, delivery challans and invoices; check quantity, specification and visible condition.
  • Prepare and update GRN / inward entries in the ERP or stock register, and coordinate with QC, Purchase and Production for inspection and acceptance.
  • Maintain rack-wise, bin-wise and project-wise material identification and traceability.
  • Maintain accurate records of raw materials, bought-out items, electrical and mechanical components, consumables, spares and project materials.
  • Issue materials only against approved material requisition, BOM or authorization.
  • Monitor stock levels, identify reorder requirements and critical shortages, and coordinate with Purchase on urgent needs.
  • Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile with ERP / system records.
  • Identify and report slow-moving, non-moving, excess and obsolete inventory; maintain records of returned materials, rejected materials and scrap.
  • Preserve materials against rust, moisture, damage and mishandling; maintain housekeeping, safety and safe material handling.
  • Support packing and dispatch teams by issuing the correct material and quantity for each project.
  • Maintain complete documentation (GRN, issue slips, challans, return notes, stock transfers) and ensure timely ERP updates.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly inventory reports for management and support internal and external stock audits.
Mandatory Requirements:
  • Graduate / Diploma in Supply Chain, Stores Management, Mechanical Engineering.
  • Store Executive: 3 –7 years of experience in Stores / Inventory / Warehouse operations.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory and stores management, with hands-on ERP / inventory software experience.
  • Working knowledge of SAP is essential; hands-on experience in using SAP for GRN, material issue, stock tracking and reconciliation and BOM knowledge.
  • Basic understanding of FIFO, stock ageing and inventory control methods.
  • Ability to understand basic engineering material descriptions.
  • Good Excel and documentation skills.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
  • Strong coordination and follow-up ability.
Preferred Requirements
  • Experience in an engineering or manufacturing company, preferably in machinery, fabrication or process equipment.
  • Background in industrial machinery manufacturing, fabrication units, process or mechanical equipment manufacturing, or EPC / project-based manufacturing.
  • Good knowledge of mechanical, electrical and fabrication-related materials.
  • Relevant industrial store experience may be considered in place of formal qualification.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
