Job description

Responsibilities

• Supervises efficient receipt of incoming materials in accordance with SOPs
  • Supervises unloading of incoming materials from vehicles without any damage or pilferage
  • Supervises physical verification of all incoming materials as per the Unit of Measurement (UoM)
  • Tallies physical quantity with purchase bill and escalates variances
  • Creates GRN and submits to purchase team
• Supervises segregation of raw material, packaging materials, tools and spares, consumables during entry and exit from the stores
• Supervises stacking as per norms to eliminate damage and pilferage
• Maintains log book and digitised records
• Supervises efficient issue of materials from the stores
  • Tallies material requisition from the production shop floor
  • Supervises identification and segregation of all materials as per the requisition
• Prepares digitised Inventory Transfer Note as per the following classifications
• Prepares digitised Goods Issue Note as per the following classifications:
  • Spares and Tools
• Supervises receiving of returns from the shop floor to the stores
  • Tallies inventory transfer request from the production shop floor and physical inventory being returned
  • Supervises appropriate segregation and stacking of all returned materials
• Takes responsibility for initiating reorder of inventory
  • Tracks inventory levels and matches with minimum stock levels
  • Conducts random verification of physical stock to match with the system
  • Raises purchase indent and submits the same to the purchase team
• Implements Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Manages talent under jurisdiction
  • Monitors attendance, deployment, discipline and productivity of own and contractual teams
  • Identifies training needs and facilitates learning and development
• Implements statutory compliances including health, safety, environment guidelines towards achieving zero harm
  • Keeps entry and exit points of stores free from all encumbrance
  • Adheres to all fire safety norms
  • Facilitates safety training of own and contractual teams to improve awareness
  • Tracks usage of PPE and escalates non compliance
  • Reports safety incidents and near misses during maintenance and project work
• Participates in improvement projects through cross functional collaboration
• Keeps self updated through continuous learning and critical exposure to contribute to current and future business imperatives
• Performs all such duties required for this role as per the changing business requirements and strategic objectives of the Organisation
