Job summary

Suzlon Group is seeking an Inventory & Stores Manager in Tamil Nadu to oversee receiving, storage, cycle counts, FIFO/FEFO and material movements to support production schedules.

You will coordinate with procurement, quality, and production, manage GRN and stock registers, and ensure ERP entries (SAP/Oracle/Dynamics) comply with 5S and audit requirements. This role also covers warehouse hygiene and loss prevention.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials as per GRN procedures.
• Ensure proper storage, identification, and preservation of materials.
• Maintain stock accuracy through regular cycle counts and physical inventory verification.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment to avoid stock-outs.
• Manage FIFO/FEFO practices wherever applicable.
• Issue materials to production as per approved requisitions.
• Ensure timely movement of materials to support production schedules.
• Coordinate with procurement, quality, and production teams for material availability.
• Track and maintain records of inward and outward movements.
• Prepare and maintain GRN, material issue slips, stock registers, and inventory reports.
• Update inventory transactions in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/Dynamics/Darwinbox or equivalent).
• Ensure compliance with audit requirements and documentation standards.
• Minimize inventory discrepancies and material losses.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with 5S, safety, and warehouse management practices.
• Monitor slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete inventory.
• Coordinate unloading, storage, and dispatch activities.
• Ensure proper handling of generator components, electrical parts, consumables, and packing materials.
• Supervise material handling equipment usage and warehouse housekeeping.
