Responsibilities

• Receive items from vendors and prepare GRN.
• Ensure proper storage of materials and maintain inventory.
• Punch ward indents and verify against Issue Notes.
• Coordinate procurement of NA items with the Purchase Team.
• Conduct periodic stock verification and maintain records.
• Collect invoices and prepare GRN and Issue Notes.
• Manage scrap activities and maintain cleanliness of scrap area.
• Coordinate manpower for heavy material movement.
• Supervise items under legal disputes as per management instructions.
• Carry out responsibilities assigned by the department.

Job description

1. Receiving items from vendors as per Purchase Order and preparation of GRN. Ensuring timely submission of GRN to Accounts and maintaining Excel records. Coordinating with the Purchase Department for revised bills.
2. Ensuring proper storage of materials and maintaining inventory under safe and hygienic conditions. Informing user departments regarding non-stock items and issuing materials against approved Issue Notes.
3. Punching ward indents as per schedule and verifying them accurately against Issue Notes before processing.
4. Coordinating with the Purchase Team for NA (Not Available) items and following up for timely procurement.
5. Conducting periodic stock verification as per department schedule and maintaining accurate stock records.
6. Collecting invoices from Lab and other departments and preparing GRN and Issue Notes accordingly.
7. Receiving capital items as per delivery schedule, preparing GRN, informing user departments for collection against Manual Issue Note, and pasting barcodes at designated equipment locations.
8. Preparing RGP and NRGP documentation as required for material movement.
9. Handling Engineering Stores in the absence of staff.
10. Managing scrap activities with help of Scrap executive.
11. Collecting scrap materials from designated departments.
12. Shifting scrap to the allocated scrap area.
13. Ensuring proper arrangement, labeling, and cleanliness of the scrap area.
14. Maintaining basic records of scrap collected.
15. Handing over collected scrap to the Scrap Executive for further processing as per SOP.
16. Maintaining store areas and external godown (outside hospital premises) in proper condition with respect to cleanliness, safety, and organization.
17. Providing manpower coordination (Mathadi) for heavy material movement as required by hospital departments.
18. Supervising and maintaining items under legal disputes (e.g., CESTAT/Octroi matters) as instructed by management.
19. For Capex items: Verifying items against the Asset Scrap Proposal Form,“ tagging appropriately, and shifting to the allocated scrap area against Material Transfer Note prior to handover to Scrap Executive.
20. Carrying out any other responsibilities as assigned by the department.
