Job description

The FG Store In-Charge is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Finished Goods Store. This includes ensuring accurate inventory management, systematic storage, proper documentation, and timely coordination with related departments to support smooth dispatch operations. The role requires active supervision, coordination, and adherence to organizational SOPs and quality standards.

1. Inventory Management

• Maintain accurate records of all finished goods received, stored, and dispatched.
• Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Monitor stock levels and immediately report any discrepancies.

2. Storage and Organization

• Ensure systematic and optimal storage of finished goods for easy retrieval.
• Implement FIFO/FEFO inventory principles wherever applicable.

3. Coordination with Departments

• Coordinate with QA/QC for clearance and timely receipt of goods.
• Collaborate with the dispatch team for material readiness.
• Communicate with the sales and PPC team to ensure timely order fulfillment and stock availability.

4. Documentation & SAP Entries

• Maintain essential documents such as stock registers, transfer notes, and movement logs.
• Regularly update SAP and manual systems to ensure real-time inventory tracking.

5. Quality Compliance

• Ensure all stored goods meet internal quality and safety standards.
• Isolate and report non-conforming items as per defined SOPs.

6. Manpower Supervision

• Oversee the activities of store assistants and laborers in FG storage operations.
• Ensure adherence to safety and operational protocols by the team.

7. Dispatch Coordination

• Ensure finished goods are staged and ready for dispatch as per priority.
• Support dispatch team in day to day activity as per requirement to expedite dispatch process.

8. Housekeeping & Safety

• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the FG store area.
• Ensure all goods are properly labeled, tagged, and stored as per SOP.

9. Certifications & Standards

• Prepare and maintain documentation as per organizational and industry standards/certification requirements (e.g., ISO, GMP).
