Job summary

Ample Enterprise Technologies in Pune, India seeks an experienced Steering System Design Engineer to lead design and development of L7e-category steering systems. You will develop architectures, layouts, and components, create 2D drawings and 3D CATIA V5 models, and ensure GD&T compliance and vehicle-level performance.

You will coordinate with CAE, testing, manufacturing, and vehicle engineering teams, participate in design reviews, and support homologation and validation activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive steering system design is required.
• Strong knowledge of steering architectures and layouts.
• Experience across rack-and-pinion systems and kinematics.
• Familiarity with GD&T ASME Y14.5M / ISO standards.

Preferred candidate profile

• 68 years of experience in automotive steering system design and development.


• Candidates with complete 2W / 3W steering system development program experience preferred.


• Strong hands-on knowledge of steering architecture, steering layouts, rack & pinion, kinematics, and articulation.


• Experience with CATIA V5 is mandatory.


• Good knowledge of GD&T ASME Y14.5M / ISO standards.


• Knowledge of steering homologation and automotive product development processes.


• Basic understanding of FEA, DVP, testing, materials, and manufacturing processes.


• Strong design review, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.


• Candidates from Piaggio India, Atul Auto, Tata Motors, Mahindra MRV, Tata Technologies, FEV India, or similar automotive organizations preferred.
