Job summary

Source-Right is seeking a Steering System Designer to lead the design and development of steering for a small L7e-category vehicle. You will work on three-wheeler steering architecture, component selection, and layout optimization.

The role requires hands-on experience with steering-system kinematic schematics, rack-and-pinion design, GD&T, and familiarity with ASME/ISO standards. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or higher in mechanical engineering with relevant coursework.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working on steering systems preferred.

Department : Vehicle Engineering & Design

Qualification : ME/MTech/BE/BTech/DME in Mechanical Engineering

Job Responsibility : Lead steering system design and development for a small L7e-category vehicle.

Vehicle Program Experience : Must have executed at least one complete vehicle program in steering system design and development for two-wheelers or three-wheelers.

System Design Experience : Hands-on experience in three-wheeler steering system architecture, component selection, and steering layouts.

Core Technical Knowledge : Knowledge of handlebar steering systems.

Engineering Calculations and Studies : Experience in steering-system kinematic schematics, rack-and-pinion system design and development, and steering articulation studies.

Homologation Knowledge : Knowledge of steering-system functionalities, performance parameters, and homologation requirements.

Development and Validation Knowledge : Basic knowledge of materials, FEA, DVPs, and testing specifications

Manufacturing Knowledge : Understanding of sheet-metal, casting, forging, and other manufacturing processes.

GD&T Knowledge : Knowledge of ASME Y14.5M and ISO GD&T standards for creating 2D drawings.

Communication Skills : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
