Job summary

Source-Right is seeking a Suspension System Designer to lead the design and development of suspension systems for a small L7e-category vehicle in India. The role requires hands-on experience with MacPherson strut and wishbone configurations, along with performance validation through kinematic analyses and testing protocols.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, exposure to vehicle programs, and solid knowledge of materials, FEA, DVPs, and manufacturing

Qualifications

• ME/MTech/BE/BTech/DME in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Must have executed at least one complete vehicle program in suspension system design and development for passenger cars.
• Hands-on experience in passenger-car suspension system architecture, component selection, and suspension layouts.
• Knowledge of MacPherson strut and wishbone suspension systems.
• Experience in suspension kinematic schematics, spring-stiffness calculations, suspension envelopes, and articulation studies.
• Knowledge of homologation and certification requirements.
• Basic knowledge of materials, FEA, DVPs, and testing specifications.
• Understanding of sheet-metal, casting, forging, and other manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of ASME Y14.5M and ISO GD&T standards for creating 2D drawings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
