Job summary

Medanta in Ranchi, India, seeks a senior Healthcare IT professional to lead user support, training, and HIS implementations across hospital workflows.

You will configure data for new modules, perform data entry and master data maintenance, and drive adoption by assisting billing and front-office teams with HIS utilization. Strong EMR/LIS experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferably in computer science or related field.
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in development and support of Healthcare IT systems and hospital workflows.
• Experience supporting EMR applications and LIS systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide module training to users.
• Offer 24x7 user support.
• Escalate problems to internal implementation teams and third parties.
• Identify and resolve HIS application issues.
• Generate reports based on user requirements from front/back end.
• Write user manuals.
• Assist Billing and front office users to enhance HIS usage.
• Execute and monitor unused features of existing clinical modules.
• Identify usability issues and resolve them.
• Report generation from backend using MySQL queries.

Role & responsibilities

1. User Support and Training

• Providing module training to the users.
• Providing User support (24x7).
• Problem escalation to internal implementation team and third parties as appropriate.
• Identifying and resolving HIS application issues.
• Generating Reports based on user requirements from front/back end.
• Writing User Manuals

2. Configuration of HIS

• Providing Data setup for new modules
• Carry out data entry processes wherever needed
• Master Data management and maintenance

3. Contribute in HIS adoption

• Assist Billing and front office users and/or internal team in enhancing the HIS usage
• Execution and monitoring of unused features of existing clinical modules
• Identify usability issues and try resolving them

4. HIS Implementation

• Report Generation - Generates Reports based on user requirements from back end using MySQL queries

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree preferably in computer science or related field
• Min 8+ years of experience in Development and Support of Healthcare IT systems and Hospital workflows
