Job summary

HCA Healthcare - India seeks a Consultant – Clinical Applications Support Training Program to design, coordinate, and continuously improve the training program for new team members supporting EHR, Clinical Ancillary Systems, and interoperability platforms.

You will serve as the primary training facilitator, ensuring hires acquire domain knowledge, clinical workflows, technical application skills, and operational support capabilities to transition into production support roles.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver instructor-led training for Clinical Applications Support curriculum.
  • Facilitate onboarding programs for new support analysts.
  • Conduct classroom, virtual, and hybrid learning sessions.
  • Manage end-to-end execution of the 8-10 week Clinical Applications Support Training Program.
  • Coordinate training schedules, learner progress, and assessments.
  • Develop knowledge articles, SOPs, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Update curriculum based on application enhancements, operational changes, and healthcare technology trends.
  • Collaborate with SMEs to create new learning modules.
  • Ensure training content aligns with organizational standards and healthcare best practices.
  • Design quizzes, practical evaluations, and certification assessments.
  • Evaluate learner readiness before production deployment.
  • Provide coaching and developmental feedback.
  • Identify learning gaps and recommend improvement plans.
  • Partner with Operations Managers to understand skill requirements.
  • Coordinate SME sessions across multiple application teams.
  • Support leadership with training dashboards and progress reports.
  • Track training KPIs and certification metrics.
  • Support automation and digital learning initiatives.

Job description

The Consultant – Clinical Applications Support Training Program will be responsible for designing, coordinating, facilitating, and continuously improving the Clinical Applications Support Training Program for new team members supporting Electronic Health Records (EHR), Clinical Ancillary Systems, Healthcare Interoperability platforms, and healthcare application support operations.

The consultant will serve as the primary training facilitator, ensuring new hires acquire the healthcare domain knowledge, clinical workflow understanding, technical application knowledge, and operational support capabilities required to successfully transition into production support roles.

This role will collaborate with Clinical Applications SMEs, Operations Leaders, Technical Architects, Learning & Development teams, and Business Stakeholders to develop structured learning content, conduct instructor‑led training, facilitate hands‑on labs, assess learner progress, and continuously enhance the curriculum based on operational needs.

The consultant is expected to bring expertise in healthcare application support, adult learning principles, healthcare interoperability, and ITIL‑based support operations while ensuring high‑quality knowledge transfer and learner engagement.

Major Responsibilities

  • Clinical Applications Training : For all modules within EMR.
  • Knowledge Management
  • Develop knowledge articles, SOPs, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Maintain training repositories and learning documentation.
  • Standardize learning materials across support teams.
  • Ensure version control for all curriculum content.
  • Learner Assessment
  • Design quizzes, practical evaluations, and certification assessments.
  • Evaluate learner readiness before production deployment.
  • Provide coaching and developmental feedback.
  • Identify learning gaps and recommend improvement plans.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Partner with Operations Managers to understand skill requirements.
  • Coordinate SME sessions across multiple application teams.
  • Support leadership with training dashboards and progress reports.
  • Participate in knowledge transition sessions for new projects.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Analyze learner feedback and operational performance.
  • Recommend improvements to training effectiveness.
  • Track training KPIs and certification metrics.
  • Support automation and digital learning initiatives.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare or Information Systems or Computer Science or Nursing or Life Sciences or related field
  • Experience in healthcare IT operations
Preferred
  • 7 + years supporting Healthcare Applications
  • Experience supporting EHR or Clinical Applications: Meditech OR Epic Or Cerner
Licenses, Certifications, & Training
  • ITIL Foundation certification
Preferred
  • HL7
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Behaviors
  • Strong Experience in US Healthcare Workflows
Required
  • Knowledge of EHR Clinical Workflows
  • Understanding of HL7,
