Job summary

Mahindra Logistics Ltd in Surat is seeking a Senior Executive Operations to own and manage an assigned department within the Sort Center, ensuring smooth end-to-end operations, productivity, quality, SLA adherence, and timely execution of daily plans.

You will lead shifts, optimize manpower deployment, monitor metrics such as SLA, CPT, throughput and quality, ensure SOPs and safety, drive Kaizen and cost optimization, and coordinate with upstream and downstream teams to ensure on-time shipments.

Qualifications

• Experience: 25 years in Sort Center / Warehouse / Logistics / Fulfilment Operations with department or shift management and team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of the assigned department and manage daily shift operations.
• Lead the team and ensure effective manpower deployment, productivity, and performance.
• Plan resources and capacity based on volume/CAP fluctuations and operational requirements.
• Monitor key metrics including SLA, CPT, productivity, quality, throughput and process adherence.
• Ensure adherence to SOP, safety, quality, compliance and audit standards.
• Identify operational gaps, conduct RCA, and drive corrective/preventive actions.
• Drive process improvement, Kaizen and cost optimization initiatives.
• Manage shift handovers, daily reviews and operational escalations.
• Coordinate with upstream/downstream teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth flow of shipments.
• Monitor manpower availability, absenteeism, training and team performance.
• Ensure timely resolution of customer, vehicle and operational escalations.
• Maintain a safe, disciplined and positive workplace while driving team engagement and ownership.
