Job summary

Parle is seeking an experienced HR Compliance/IR professional for its manufacturing plant in India. You will oversee labor law compliance, ensure proper implementation of standing orders, and manage formal notices and audits. A strong focus on documentation, license renewals, and timely grievance resolution is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Labor Law Compliance: ensure adherence to relevant labor laws (Factories Act, Payment of Wages, Minimum Wages, Industrial Disputes Act, PF, ESI, Gratuity).
  • Standing Orders Execution: implement Standing Orders and manage charge sheets and inquiries.
  • Documentation & Registers: maintain attendance, overtime, wages, and accident registers as required by law.
  • Filing Returns: prepare and submit statutory returns to government departments and audits.
  • Audit Management: lead internal and external labor compliance audits and respond to inspectors.
  • Licenses & Renewals: ensure timely renewal of factory licenses, CLRA, and NOC where applicable.
  • Grievance Redressal: resolve employee and union grievances within legal and policy frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

Labor Law Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all relevant labor laws, such as the Factories Act, Payment of Wages Act, Minimum Wages Act, Industrial Disputes Act, PF, ESI, and Gratuity regulations.

Standing Orders Execution: Implement the company/factory's Certified Standing Orders. Manage the legal processes regarding charge sheets, show-cause notices, and domestic inquiries in cases of indiscipline or misconduct.

Documentation & Registers: Maintain up-to-date records of all statutory registers such as those for attendance, overtime, wages, and accidents in accordance with the law.

Filing Returns: Prepare and submit statutory returns (monthly, half-yearly, and annual) to the relevant government departments (e.g., Labor Department, PF/ESI offices) on time. Audit Management (Audit & Inspections): Leading internal and external (government) labor compliance audits. Managing visits by government labor inspectors and preparing legal responses to any objections raised.

Licenses & Renewals: Ensuring the timely renewal of factory licenses, Contract Labor licenses (CLRA), and HR-related NOCs (e.g., from the Pollution Control Board, if applicable).

Grievance Redressal: Resolving grievances from employees and unions within the framework of the law and company policy to prevent industrial disputes.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Education: MBA in HR/PMIR, MSW (Master of Social Work), or a degree/diploma in Labor Law (LL.B.).

Experience: 6 to 8 years of experience in HR Compliance or IR (Industrial Relations) within a manufacturing plant, factory, or heavy industry setting.

Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Central and State labor laws and factory regulations.

Skills:

Excellent ability to draft legal or formal notices.

Proficiency in liaisoning with local government officials and unions.

Ability to work under pressure and resolve disputes amicably.

The candidate should have sound practical experience with the U.P. Factories Rules and the U.P. Industrial Disputes Act, as state-specific regulations can vary.Role & responsibilities
