Job summary

AU Finja Jewels invites an experienced HR professional to lead statutory compliance, labour laws, and industrial relations at our Mumbai manufacturing facility, with a strong focus on blue‑collar and contract labour. You will maintain statutory registers, muster rolls, attendance, payroll inputs, onboarding, and leave records, while coordinating labour inspections and audits.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in HR, preferably in a manufacturing/factory environment.
  • Strong knowledge of labour laws, statutory compliance, industrial relations, and employee welfare.
  • Hands-on experience in managing blue-collar/workforce personnel and contract labour.
  • Proven ability to handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and workforce-related issues effectively.
  • Strong experience in HR documentation, statutory registers, audits, inspections, and compliance management.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to independently manage employee engagement initiatives and foster a positive shop-floor culture.
  • Sound knowledge of EPF, ESI, POSH, attendance, leave, overtime, and payroll-related HR processes.
  • Strong leadership skills with a practical, solution-oriented approach.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with applicable labour and employment laws, including the Factories Act, Industrial Disputes Act, Payment of Wages Act, Minimum Wages Act, EPF, ESI, and other applicable statutory requirements.
  • Maintain statutory registers, muster rolls, wage and leave records, employment documentation, and required returns.
  • Monitor contract labour compliance, including wage payments, PF/ESI deductions, attendance, documentation, and workforce verification.
  • Coordinate labour inspections, statutory audits, and timely closure of compliance observations.
  • Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters, industrial relations, union/worker representative coordination, and workplace disputes.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives, including cultural events, sports activities, celebrations, recognition programs, suggestion schemes, and employee interaction forums.
  • Manage employee welfare facilities such as canteen, transport, restrooms, and occupational health coordination.
  • Ensure effective onboarding, induction, HR orientation, attendance, leave, overtime, and payroll inputs.
  • Monitor employee turnover, conduct exit interviews, and develop retention initiatives.
  • Ensure implementation of the Code of Conduct, POSH requirements, workplace policies, and awareness programs.
