Job summary

Spal Automotive Technology in India, Maharashtra, Chakan, seeks a skilled Maintenance Engineer to oversee preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of injection moulding machines. You will troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and PLC systems to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience in preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of injection moulding machines.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, VFD and automation systems.
• Knowledge of TPM, OEE, MTBF and MTTR concepts and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of injection moulding machines.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, VFD, servo drives, and automation systems.
• Ensure minimum machine downtime and improve equipment reliability. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain auxiliary equipment such as chillers, cooling towers, air compressors, dehumidifiers, robots, and conveyors.
• Monitor spare parts inventory and coordinate procurement of critical spares.
• Lead and support maintenance technicians and coordinate with Production, Quality, Tool Room, and Stores teams.
• Drive TPM, Kaizen, 5S, OEE, MTBF, and MTTR improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with safety standards, LOTO procedures, and IATF requirements.
