Her Pursuit Chennai in Chennai, India seeks an experienced logistics professional to lead export-import operations, customs compliance, and multi-modal freight planning. The role requires coordinating with production and overseas teams to ensure timely, compliant shipments.

You will manage LC negotiations, banking waivers, and EPCG/Advance License filings, while optimizing costs with freight forwards and CHA partners. Strong SAP/QAD and ICEGATE skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in export-import operations and customs compliance.
• Proficiency in SAP and QAD; ICEGATE operations; advanced Excel.
• Knowledge of Incoterms 2020, GST exports, and import-export codes.
• Strong liaison with legal and government bodies; ability to manage LC negotiations & bank waivers.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end lifecycle of export and import documentation, including invoices, packing lists, COO, and BL/AWB.
• Execute customs clearances via ICEGATE, via BOE filing, duty drawback claims, and antidumping declarations.
• Liaise with legal and government bodies for EPCG and Advance License filing, monitoring, and closure.
• Strategically book vessel space and negotiate freight rates for break bulk and air freight.
• Manage freight forwarders and CHA to optimize transit times and costs.
• Oversee CKD operations, ensuring accurate container stuffing and avoiding demurrage & detention.
• Coordinate with production and overseas teams to align transport modes with manufacturing urgency.
• Monitor inbound logistics, maintain reorder levels for raw materials and engineering spares.
• Manage warehouse operations and trailer movements to meet port cut-off times.
• Navigate LC negotiations, bank waivers, and customs filings.

Role & responsibilities

1. Export-Import (EXIM) & Customs Compliance

• Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of Export and Import documentation, including Invoices, Packing Lists, COO, and BL/AWB.
• Execute Customs Clearances via ICEGATE, managing BOE filing, Duty Drawback claims, and Antidumping declarations.
• Liaise with legal and government bodies for EPCG and Advance License filing, monitoring, and closure.

2. Logistics & Freight Management

• Strategically book vessel space and negotiate freight rates for Break Bulk, and Air Freight.
• Manage Freight Forwarders and Customs House Agents (CHA) to optimize transit times and costs.
• Oversee CKD operations, ensuring accurate container stuffing (Order vs. Received vs. Loaded) and avoiding Demurrage & Detention (DET).

3. Supply Chain & Operations

• Coordinate with production and overseas teams to align transport modes with manufacturing urgency.
• Monitor Inbound Logistics and maintain reorder levels for raw materials and engineering spares.
• Manage warehouse operations and trailer movements (Internal/External) to ensure port cut-off times are met.

4. Financial & Commercial Management

• Navigate Letter of Credit (LC) negotiations, Bank GR Waivers, and customs filings.

Required Skills & Competencies
