Job summary

UPL Limited is seeking an experienced EXIM logistics professional to manage end-to-end export shipments from multiple plants in India. You will ensure on-time dispatch, coordinate with shipping lines, forwarders, CHA's, and customs, and maintain shipment visibility in SAP.

The role requires 5–10 years in EXIM logistics, with preference for chemical/pharma exporters. Strong communication, analytical skills, and teamwork are essential for success in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Any graduate with Degree/ Diploma in EXIM Logistics Management.
• 5 to 10 years in EXIM logistics. Industry experience in Chemical/ Pharma preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan export shipments per Incoterms and customer orders from cargo readiness to B/L release.
• Achieve monthly export dispatch targets from multiple Indian plants.
• Follow up with shipping lines, forwarders for bookings.
• Coordinate with CHA, agents for gate-in and loading lists.
• Update shipment status in SAP.
• Coordinate with Customer Service for shipment updates.
• Coordinate with planners, dispatch, QC teams at plants.
• Coordinate with CHAs, transporters, freight forwarders and inspection agencies.
• Resolve issues with customs and carriers.
• Generate MIS reports.
• Ensure compliance with export/import laws at destination ports.
• Manage KPIs for on-time delivery and costs.
• Provide advance container volume forecasts to shipping lines and CHAs.

Job description

Purpose of Role:

1. Knowledge of Exim Policy, Incoterms, Payment Terms, UCP Rules

2. Conversant with Customs Rules and regulation for import & export

3. knowledge of the International Logistic & transportation industry.

4. Conversant with handling of hazardous cargo shipment

5. Complete knowledge of export-import shipment process ( Air, rail, Ocean)

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for complete export shipment planning process as per incoterms and customer orders right from cargo readiness to shipment and b/l release - from multiple loading ports in India
• Achieving Monthly export dispatch targets – from multiple manufacturing plants in India
• Follow up - with shipping companies and forwarding agents for bookings
• Follow up - with forwarding agent and CHA's for timely gate in the port and advance loading list send to shipping co.
• Responsible for timely updation of shipment status in SAP.
• Coordination with Customer service teams for shipment updation to customers
• Coordination with planners , dispatch teams, QC teams at plants.
• Coordination with CHAs, transporters, freight forwarders, shipping lines, third party inspection agencies.
• Resolution of issues related to shipments with customs, shipping lines, CFS, other allied agencies.
• Responsible for MIS reporting.
• Ensure export/import laws and regulations in the importing ports at respective destination countries are adhered to.
• Responsible for KPIs related to timely delivery and shipment costs.
• Provide advance container volume forecast to shipping lines, CHAS, Transporters.

Qualification:

• Any graduate with Degree/ Diploma in EXIM Logistics Management,
• 5 to 10 years in EXIM logistics. Preferably, Industry experience from exporter /manufacturing background in Chemical / Pharma sector
