Job summary

Talent Hr Networks in Pune seeks a Senior CNC Machinist to independently set up, operate and troubleshoot CNC and manual machines at the client site in Chakan, ensuring safety, quality, and timely production.

You will work with high-precision components from carbon steel and chrome, read CNC programs, select tools, and train junior machinists while maintaining 5S in the shop.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ITE in Mechanical, Precision Engineering, Tool & Die, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on CNC machining and metal removal experience.
• Must meet internal qualification standards for Machinist CNC 1 and CNC 2.

Responsibilities

• Maintain strong safety practices and strictly follow HSE procedures.
• Ensure product quality by adhering to approved standards, work instructions, and inspection requirements.
• Independently set up and operate CNC and manual machines (Mazak, Mori Seiki, etc.).
• Read, interpret, and verify CNC programs; perform tool path calculations, offsets, and cutting angles.
• Handle complex parts and various materials including carbon steel and chrome.
• Select appropriate tools, inserts, and fixtures for safe and effective utilization.
• Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI) and maintain documentation.
• Apply precision measurement instruments (micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, dial indicators).
• Achieve daily and weekly production targets while maintaining 5S discipline.
• Train and mentor new machinists, share best practices, and support team coordination.
• Escalate unsafe conditions or quality risks immediately.
