Job summary

PLANSEE INDIA in Mysore is hiring a CNC Machinist to operate CNC machines and monitor manufacturing processes according to drawings and quality standards. The role emphasizes safe operation, adherence to SOPs, and achieving productivity targets to support on-time delivery.

You will work with VMC, CNC Turning, WEDM and Turn-Mill machines, loading materials, selecting tools, and inspecting components with appropriate instruments to ensure accuracy.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering required with 1–2 years of relevant experience.
• Basic understanding of CNC programs and machining parameters.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and quality management systems.
• Exposure to precision manufacturing industries.
• Good communication, coordination and team management skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines such as VMC, CNC Turning, WEDM, Turn-Mill, or similar machining centres.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished components safely.
• Select and use appropriate cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and measuring instruments as per SOP.
• Monitor machining processes and ensure dimensional accuracy throughout production.
• Read and understand engineering drawings and shop floor documentation.
• Knowledge of measuring instruments and inspection methods.

We are immediately hiring for the CNC Machinist - Operators, Turning, Milling & setters for our Manufacturing plant at Mysore Location.

The CNC Machinist is responsible for operating and monitoring CNC machines to manufacture precision metal components in accordance with engineering drawings, quality standards, and production requirements. The role ensures safe machine operation, product quality, adherence to SOPs, preventive maintenance, and achievement of productivity targets to support On-Time Delivery (OTD).

Your tasks:

1. Operate CNC machines such as VMC, CNC Turning, WEDM, Turn-Mill, or similar machining centres.
2. Load and unload raw materials and finished components safely.
3. Select and use appropriate cutting tools, jigs, fixtures, gauges, and measuring instruments as per SOP and work instructions.
4. Monitor machining processes and ensure dimensional accuracy throughout production
5. Experience in CNC machining operations within a manufacturing environment.
6. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and shop floor documentation.
7. Knowledge of measuring instruments and inspection methods.

Your profile:

1. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (MUST) with a minimum 1 to 2 years of relevant experience (ONLY Diploma holders)
2. Basic understanding of CNC programs and machining parameters.
3. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and quality management systems.
4. Exposure to precision manufacturing industries
5. Good communication, coordination, and team management skills.
