Role Description

The Sr. Academic Counsellor role is a full-time, on-site position based in Noida. The individual in this role will guide prospective learners in selecting suitable courses, explain program structures, and align training options with their career goals. Daily responsibilities include conducting counseling sessions (in-person and via phone), handling inquiries, following up with leads, and supporting enrollment processes. The Sr. Academic Counsellor will collaborate with training and placement teams to ensure learners are informed about course outcomes, job readiness support, and career pathways. The role also involves maintaining accurate records, meeting admission targets, and contributing to the overall learner experience through professional and empathetic communication.

Qualifications

• Strong counseling and advisory skills, with the ability to understand learner needs and recommend appropriate courses and career paths.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including clear spoken and written English and the ability to build trust with diverse learners.
• Sales and admissions orientation, with experience in lead management, follow-ups, and meeting enrollment or target-based objectives.
• Organizational and administrative skills, including maintaining databases, documentation, and accurate counseling records.
• Knowledge of IT, software development, or related technical domains (e.g., AI, ML, data analytics, cloud, VLSI) to discuss course content and outcomes confidently.
• Prior experience in academic counseling, student advisory roles, training institutes, or education services is highly beneficial.
• Ability to work collaboratively with training and placement teams and adapt to structured processes and performance metrics.
• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a background in education, management, or psychology is an added advantage.
