Job summary

Societe Generale in India is seeking a Production Support Specialist with 3-5 years of experience to ensure service quality and incident handling. You will coordinate among teams, leverage Linux/Unix environments, and manage deployments with basic scripting skills.

Strong communication, ownership and ITIL knowledge are essential in this role. You will work on L1/L2 support, ticketing, and contribute to process improvement, automation, and onboarding of new applications, while maintaining

Qualifications

• Must have 3-5 years of Experience in L1 and L2 production support and ticketing.
• Strong understanding of Linux.
• Knowledge of Windows and PowerShell.
• Knowledge on Linux shell scripting.
• Knowledge on Windows, PowerShell and Docker Containerization (Deploy docker images and manage services).
• Knowledge on Release management.
• Ability to do product development, automation and application upgrades.
• Knowledge on transition skills, SOP preparation and new application onboarding.
• Strong communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must take ownership and accountability of a product delivery.
• Knowledge of ITIL concepts.
• Experience in production support and ticketing process.
• DB experience - SQL server/Oracle DB (SQL queries).
• ETL production support experience - Informatica or SSIS tools.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools (Nagios, etc.).
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (shell/PowerShell/Python).
• Nice to have Azure/Azure data engineering/JBoss/WebSphere knowledge.
• Nice to have knowledge on deployment tools (VSTS).
• Nice to have knowledge on SSL certificate management.
