Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an experienced DevOps/SRE engineer in a distributed team. The role focuses on building and automating CI/CD pipelines, managing Kubernetes clusters, and ensuring high availability across on‑prem and Azure environments.

You will implement infrastructure as code with Terraform and Ansible, and maintain observability using Prometheus and related tools. Effective collaboration and mentoring are expected across development and operations.

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of DevOps experience required.
• Mandatory skills: Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Python/Groovy, Jenkins, Terraform, build tooling, Github, Sonar, Terraform and Ansible, Azure
• Additional: Kubernetes certification is a plus
• Demonstrates strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• A Speicalist Software Engineer delivers features for a Product in a business chain. As member of a Feature Team, he works in autonomy and in a continuous improvement
• Good understanding of Linux Systems. Good understanding of Terraform and Ansible
• Build and manage continuous deployment of software (CI/CD)
• Strong understanding of Containers and Orchestration
• Should have knowledge on Azure Kubernates Services (AKS), other Azure services using terraform
• Ensure System uptime with Monitoring and Alerting
• Use Python scripts to ensure high availability in Postgres Cluster.
• Ensure Observability of the Kubernetes Systems (both onprem and azure) using Python scripts to monitor Cronjobs/Pods/Cluster health status
• Automation of DNS creation, Certificate management, apm integration using APIs and init containers in CICD pipelines (via scripts)
• Automate creation of Users, Vault Policies using Terraform and Python scripts for maintaining secret management
• Ensuring rebuilds of all backend services to ensure projects have latest dependencies (init containers/base images) via scripts preferably Python.
• Handle migration of repositories more than 200 using scripts like registry migration, db migration (all should be done via scripts).
• Build reusable CICD pipelines using helm to update more than 50 services
• Handle Observability of services for stack like Java, Angular, DotNet using APM agent in ELK.
• Have automate first mindset in all the tasks related to SRE.
• Implement DevOPS/SRE best practices Skills that will help you succeed in this role
• Must have knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Prometheus, Ansible, Terraform, Github actions/Jenkins
• Understands Basic networking Concepts
• Work with Development and Operations teams to understand requirements and translate it into backlog
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to DevOps projects
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be comfortable working with a distributed team

Profile required

Profiles Required:

• 4-7 Years of DevOps experience required.
• Mandatory skills : Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Python/Groovy, Jenkins, Terraform, build tooling (maven /npm/etc.), Github, Sonar, Terraform and Ansible, Azure
• Additional Skills : Certification in Kubernetes Specific Context
• Candidates who are passionate about quality aspects.
• Proven Ability to learn and work on latest technology, have good analytical skills and pickup faster.
• Should have excellent communication, interpersonal skills and be a team player.
• Should have been engaged on one project for at least 10 months.
• Candidate should work on all below activities related to the software development.
• Guarantee best practice and quality of the code of the whole team.
• Organize and optimize/industrialize the process of development.
• Propose technical solutions.
• Participate to the construction of the technical infrastructure when needed.
• Work in a team with agile practices (Scrum, Kanban, DevOps, pair programming, etc.)
• Participate in the development of the technical culture of the feature team (craftsmanship, pairing, review, etc.).
• Mentoring the team with good practices and unblocking your team when they are blocked with technical challenges.
• Ensuring the quality of deliveries to production on time.
