Job summary

UPL in Pune, India, seeks an experienced Exim logistics professional to oversee end-to-end export shipments, from cargo readiness to bill of lading release, in line with Incoterms and UCP rules. You will coordinate with shipping lines, CHA, and forwarding agents, update SAP shipment status, and work with customer service and plant dispatch teams to meet monthly export targets.

Requires 5–10 years in EXIM logistics and a degree/diploma in EXIM Logistics Management, with preference for

Qualifications

• Graduate with Degree/Diploma in EXIM Logistics Management.
• 5–10 years in EXIM logistics; experience in chemicals/pharma exporter/manufacturer preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan export shipments end-to-end per Incoterms and customer orders.
• Manage dispatch targets from multiple Indian plants.
• Coordinate bookings with shipping lines and forwarding agents.
• Coordinate with CHA's and forwarding agents for gate-in at port.
• Update shipment status in SAP.
• Coordinate with customer service and planning teams for shipment updates.
• Coordinate with CHAs, transporters, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and inspection agencies.
• Resolve issues related to shipments with customs, lines, CFS, and other agencies.
• Ensure export/import laws at destination ports are adhered to.
• Provide advance container volume forecasts to shipping lines and transporters.

Purpose of Role

• Knowledge of Exim Policy, Incoterms, Payment Terms, UCP Rules
• Conversant with Customs Rules and regulation for import & export
• knowledge of the International Logistic & transportation industry.
• Conversant with handling of hazardous cargo shipment
• Complete knowledge of export-import shipment process ( Air, rail, Ocean)

Responsibilities

• Responsible for complete export shipment planning process as per incoterms and customer orders – right from cargo readiness to shipment and b/l release - from multiple loading ports in India
• Achieving Monthly export dispatch targets – from multiple manufacturing plants in India
• Follow up - with shipping companies and forwarding agents for bookings
• Follow up - with forwarding agent and CHA's for timely gate in the port and advance loading list send to shipping co.
• Responsible for timely updation of shipment status in SAP.
• Coordination with Customer service teams for shipment updation to customers
• Coordination with planners , dispatch teams, QC teams at plants.
• Coordination with CHAs, transporters, freight forwarders, shipping lines, third party inspection agencies.
• Resolution of issues related to shipments with customs, shipping lines, CFS, other allied agencies.
• Ensure export/import laws and regulations in the importing ports at respective destination countries are adhered to.
• Responsible for KPIs related to timely delivery and shipment costs.
• Provide advance container volume forecast to shipping lines, CHAS, Transporters.

Qualification

• Any graduate with Degree/ Diploma in EXIM Logistics Management,
• 5 to 10 years in EXIM logistics. Preferably, Industry experience from exporter /manufacturing background in Chemical / Pharma sector
