Job summary

Piaggio in Baramati, Pune district, seeks a seasoned Manufacturing/Process Planning engineer to actively plan and execute processes related to Facility & Process Planning for New Products and new model additions, with a strong focus on continuous improvements.

The role emphasizes Lean manufacturing, layout optimization, and support for QA/QCDSE improvements, drawing on 7+ years of hands-on experience in the automobile industry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Automobile/Mechanical/Production required.
• Masters qualification preferred for advanced roles.

Responsibilities

• Planning the Project & Process and facilitating New Product Industrialization (From RFQ’ to ‘Put to use’).
• Optimizing layout for new product & existing assembly lines.
• Managing initiatives for continuous Improvement of QCDSE.
• Implementing various error proofing (Poka-Yoke) devices.
• Adopting new manufacturing techniques to improve process quality at optimal cost.
• Implementing Lean Manufacturing practices including optimal usage of available resources & productivity improvement.
• Carrying out activities to complete engine parameters testing as per Engineering specification.
• Imbibing all safety measures in the testing process.
• Initiating continuous improvement initiatives for existing processes as per requirement.
• Optimizing engine packaging methods to bring in cost and quality efficiencies.
• Imparting training for operating equipment, engine diagnosis & troubleshooting.
• Update, record and track all related Technical Documents for analysis and future planning and preparing statutory reports.
• Promoting manufacturing excellence initiatives related to product quality, cost, delivery; manufacturing efficiency and operational excellence to exceed customer expectations.
• Sharing information and timely updates with internal and external stakeholders along with necessary support for related activities to ensure timely implementation of different projects .

Essential Qualifcation

Bachelors degree in Automobile OR Mechanical OR Production.

Desired Qualification

Masters Qualification in related field.

Work Experience

Total 7+ years of experience in the industry with relevant hands on experience.

Preferred Industry Experience

Automobile industry.
