Job summary

Mahindra And Mahindra Ltd. seeks a skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to manage build and outgoing engine quality, and to drive process audits across assembly and testing.

The role emphasizes timely closure of non-conformances with systemic action and cross-functional coordination within production, supplier quality, design, SCM and maintenance. You will lead QCRT initiatives, reduce COPQ, and implement SPC/MSA on the shop floor while supporting PPAP/APQP deliverables and audits at multiple

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical or Automobile.
• 5–10 years in the automobile industry.
• Experience with PPAP/APQP, IQA, SPC and MSA.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for build and outgoing quality of engines.
• Conduct product and process audits in assembly and testing (Process audit, torque audit, pokayoke audit, Test bed audit, CTQ parameter audit, action plan sustenance).
• Closure of non-conformance with systemic action and effective counter measures.
• Coordinate with production, supplier quality, design, SCM and maintenance for concern resolution.
• Publish weekly IQA station rework/rejection quality reports with action plans.
• Lead for Quick Concern Resolution Team (QCRT) and COPQ reduction.
• Implement SPC on shop floor and plan/perform MSA in assembly.
• Involvement in new projects to meet PPAP/APQP deliverables; visit vehicle plants and dealerships.
• Team management of 3–4 associates.

• Responsible for conducting product and process audits in assembly and testing (Process audit , torque audit , pokayoke audit , Test bed audit , CTQ parameter audit , action plan sustenance audit) and closure of non conformance with systemic action
• Responsible for concerns analysis and effective counter measure (ICA and PCA) at the assembly IQA station/online , testing, user plant , field using quality tools
• Coordination with production , Supplier quality , design , SCM , maintenance team for concern resolution
• Weekly publishing of IQA station rework/rejection quality report with action plan
• Responsible for reduction of COPQ
• Lead for Quick Concern Resolution Team (QCRT) and concern closure
• Responsible for effective implementation of SPC on shop floor
• Responsible for planning and conducting the MSA in assembly
• Involvement in new projects to ensure the quality requirements as per as per PPAP/APQP and fulfillment of key deliverable
• Visit to different locations for concerns resolution at Vehicle Plants & Mahindra dealerships.
• Team management of 3 to 4 associates

Education Qualification

Bachelor of Engineering; Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical; Bachelor of Engineering in Automobile

General Experience

5 to 10 years (minimum) In Automobile industry
