Job summary

AMETEK is seeking an SOP Specialist in Bengaluru to manage customer orders from recognition to fulfilment. You will enter orders into Navision, coordinate with BU HQ, and ensure on-time delivery while handling procurement of spare parts.

The role requires 3–5 years in order management or related fields, strong English communication, and familiarity with ERP systems like Navision and SAP. AI tools usage to boost efficiency is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above.
• 3–5 years of experience in order management, customer service or sales administration.
• Proactive, independent and detail-oriented work style.
• Good understanding and use of AI for daily order processing (e.g., Copilot).
• Knowledge of ERP systems (Navision, SAP).
• Familiarity with commercial practice and compliance regulations.
• Strong verbal and written English.
• Chinese language a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming orders and contract reviews for compliance with SOP policies.
• Enter orders into ERP (Navision) for assigned BUs.
• Place orders to BU HQ and confirm to customers.
• Procure spare parts for assigned BUs.
• Verify required advance payment before shipment and AR status.
• Follow up deliveries and orders until goods reach customers.
• Collect service reports for invoicing.
• Follow up on outstanding AR collections.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by line manager.
• Demonstrate ability to use AI tools to improve productivity and reduce costs.

Job Description:

The SOP Specialist is responsible for the customer order recognition & fulfilment including the key ERP transactions of order booking, backlog management. This position is also accountable for the other key supply chain tasks of inventory management, import / export & domestic logistics.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for incoming order or contract review & validation for adherence to the Ametek Compliance and SOP policy.
• Enter orders or contract into ERP(Navision) for assigned Business units.
• Place order to BU HQ and send confirmation to end customer.
• Spare parts purchasing for assigned Business units.
• Check advance payment required before shipment and/or AR status.
• Follow up deliveries and order in any phase until the customer receives goods.
• Collect service report for invoice billing.
• Follow up with outstanding AR collection.
• Other ad hoc tasks assigned by line manager.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above
• Minimum of 3-5 years of working experience in handling order management, customer service or sales administration
• Can work proactively, independently and accountably, and detail-oriented
• Good understanding and experience of AI Application for daily order processing, e.g.: Copilot
• Knowledge of ERP – preferably Microsoft Navision, Visual, SAP
• Knowledge of commercial practice and Compliance regulations
• Good communication skills
• Good command of verbal and written English
• Chinese language will be a plus
