Job summary

Mindtel in India seeks a senior solar EPC project lead to own an 80MW pipeline, overseeing schedule, budget, safety, and commissioning from feasibility to COD.

You will guide cross-functional teams across civil, mechanical, electrical, and commissioning, ensuring alignment with technical specs, PPA terms, and grid code compliance, while driving risk mitigation and stakeholder coordination with DISCOMs and authorities.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on experience in solar EPC project delivery.
• Experience coordinating civil, electrical and mechanical disciplines.
• Familiarity with grid interconnection processes and CEA compliance.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end ownership of 80MW solar EPC project: schedule, budget, quality, safety, and commissioning.
• Lead cross-functional execution across civil, mechanical, electrical, and commissioning teams; align with specs, PPA terms, and grid code.
• Manage vendor selection, contract negotiation, and performance tracking for major equipment and civil contractors.
• Drive site risk mitigation and safety compliance (OHSAS/ISO 45001); resolve interconnection or land-title issues.
• Interface with DISCOMs, CEA, and state power authorities for approvals and milestones.
• Report project health (cost variance, timeline slippage, risk log) to leadership weekly; implement corrective actions to maintain on-time delivery.

About the Opportunity

A fast-scaling clean energy player in India’s utility-scale solar sector, we develop, build, and commission large-scale EPC projects (50MW–500MW) for IPPs, DISCOMs, and industrial off-takers. We’re scaling our 80MW solar pipeline with a focus on grid-compliant, cost-optimized, on-schedule delivery—leveraging strong local partnerships, modern construction tech, and lean project governance to dominate regional solar adoption.

Role & Responsibilities

• End-to-end ownership of 80MW solar EPC project: schedule, budget, quality, safety, and commissioning from feasibility to commercial operation.
• Lead cross-functional execution across civil, mechanical, electrical, and commissioning teams; ensure alignment with technical specs, PPA terms, and grid code compliance.
• Manage vendor selection, contract negotiation, and performance tracking for major equipment (PV modules, inverters, transformers) and civil contractors.
• Drive site-based risk mitigation, safety compliance (OHSAS/ISO 45001), and resolution of grid interconnection delays or land-title issues.
• Interface with DISCOMs, CEA, and state power authorities for approvals, testing, and commissioning milestones.
• Report project health (cost variance, timeline slippage, risk log) to leadership weekly; implement corrective actions to maintain 98%+ on-time delivery.
