Job summary

Michael Page is seeking an experienced Project Leader to drive utility-scale Solar PV EPC projects in India, overseeing end-to-end execution from NTP to COD. You will manage budgets, schedules, and stakeholder engagement while ensuring HSE, quality, and contractual compliance across sites.

The role requires 15+ years in power/renewable energy, with 5+ years leading Solar PV EPCs, and a strong track record in EPC project management, planning, and commercial negotiations. MBA is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil, or related Engineering discipline; MBA/Master's preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in power or renewable energy projects, including 5+ years leading utility-scale Solar PV EPC projects.
• Proven experience delivering projects from NTP through COD.
• Strong expertise in EPC project management, project controls, commercial management, and contract administration.
• Deep understanding of project planning, commissioning, grid synchronization, and stakeholder management.
• Demonstrates excellent leadership, commercial acumen, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
• Proven ability to lead geographically dispersed, multidisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of utility-scale Solar PV EPC projects from NTP to COD.
• Ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective project delivery while meeting quality and contractual commitments.
• Own project P&L, budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and commercial performance.
• Develop project execution strategies, schedules, and resource plans to achieve milestones.
• Manage EPC contractors, consultants, suppliers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Oversee contract administration, claims management, risk mitigation, and commercial negotiations.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, planning, and project controls.
• Champion HSE, QA/QC standards across all project sites.
• Drive project governance through executive reporting, performance reviews, and decision-making.
• Build strong relationships with clients, utilities, lenders, regulatory authorities, and internal leadership teams.

Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Projects (Construction), you will:

• Lead end-to-end execution of utility-scale Solar PV EPC projects from Notice to Proceed (NTP) through Commercial Operation Date (COD).
• Ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective project delivery while meeting quality and contractual commitments.

• Develop project execution strategies, schedules, and resource plans to achieve project milestones.
• Manage EPC contractors, consultants, suppliers, and cross-functional stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

The Successful Applicant

• Holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Civil, or a related Engineering discipline; MBA/Master's preferred.

• Proven experience delivering projects from NTP through COD.
