Job summary

Grow Volt in Tamil Nadu is seeking a hands-on Solar Technician/Sales Associate to drive field sales and support installation activities. You will meet customers, assess electricity needs, explain solar options and coordinate quotes, while maintaining accurate lead records and progressing qualified opportunities.

The ideal candidate holds an ITI/ Diploma or Engineering degree in Electrical, EEE or ECE, has 0–3 years of experience (freshers welcome) and is willing to travel within Vellore.

Qualifications

• ITI/Diploma/BE/BTech in electrical or related field required.
• Freshers with strong solar interest welcomed.
• Basic knowledge of electrical wiring and solar systems.
• Good communication and customer-handling skills.
• Willingness to field sales and site visits.
• Should be comfortable on rooftops and able to travel in Vellore area.

Responsibilities

• Generate solar leads through field marketing and local business networking.
• Meet residential, commercial and industrial customers.
• Understand customer electricity consumption and EB bills.
• Explain on-grid, hybrid and off-grid solar solutions.
• Conduct basic site visits and collect project requirements.
• Coordinate quotations, proposals and follow-ups.
• Maintain lead and customer records.
• Follow up with prospects and convert qualified leads into projects.
• Assist with rooftop solar installation and project execution.
• Support solar panel mounting and structure installation.
• Assist with DC/AC cable routing and electrical connections.
• Assist in inverter, ACDB, DCDB and protection equipment installation.
• Support earthing and electrical safety work.
• Assist with testing and commissioning.
• Follow safety procedures at project sites.
• Coordinate with the technical team during installation.

Preferred candidate profile

• ITI / Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, EEE, ECE or related field
• 03 years of experience; freshers with a strong interest in solar are welcome
• Basic knowledge of electrical wiring, solar systems and electrical safety
• Good communication and customer-handling skills
• Willing to do field sales, customer visits and solar site visits
• Comfortable working on rooftops and at heights
• Willing to travel within Vellore and nearby areas
• Two-wheeler and valid driving licence preferred
• Self-motivated, hardworking and target-oriented
• Ability to learn solar sales, installation and commissioning
• Candidates with experience in solar, electrical, inverter, UPS, battery or field sales will be preferred.
