Job summary

Jobtailor in India is seeking a seasoned SDET/QA Automation Engineer to join the Teleport Product & Technology team. You will contribute to agile scrum, implement TDD, and ensure robust CI/CD integration across pipelines with technologies like Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern automation tools.

The role emphasizes test automation, API validation, cloud testing, and performance testing in a fast-paced, cutting-edge environment.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• 5+ years of experience in software testing, automation, or development roles (SDET/QA Automation Engineer preferred)
• Strong coding skills in Java/JS/TS (required)
• Proficiency in automation tools: Karate, Playwright, RestAssured
• Good to have - Appium
• Expertise in databases: MongoDB (required), PostgreSQL (required); familiarity with GraphDB or other NoSQL is advantageous
• Fast development of test cases using AI based IDEs like Claude Code, Cursor, Code Assist etc
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (BitBucket, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle) and integrating tests into pipelines
• Solid understanding of Git (branching, merging, code reviews)
• Experience testing microservices architecture and building/validating RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (GCP, AWS) and testing in cloud environments
• Bonus: Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift for containerized testing
• Familiarity with application performance monitoring, logging, and observability tools (ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana, Google Cloud Logging)
• Proven experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling, Locust)
• Good understanding of Supply Chain, Logistics domain
