Jobtailor in Gurugram, India, seeks an experienced Java-focused software engineering leader to mentor junior teams and drive the end-to-end delivery of scalable, multi-tier applications. The role requires strong cloud exposure (AWS/Azure/GCP), DevOps practices, and hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes, along with architecture reviews and leadership

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and/or comparable experience; advanced degree preferred
10+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on Java-based application development
Proven experience building and maintaining distributed, scalable, multi-tier applications
Experience in application design, development, testing, deployment, and production support
Experience working in cloud environments and modern software delivery practices is preferred
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex technical challenges and deliver scalable solutions
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, code quality practices, and DevOps principles
Experience with unit, integration, functional, and performance testing
Knowledge of distributed multi-tiered systems, algorithms, NoSQL, and relational databases
Knowledge of core tools used in planning, analyzing, crafting, building, testing, configuring, and maintaining assigned applications
Experience leading small teams, mentoring engineers, or driving technical initiatives
Experience conducting architecture reviews and influencing technical direction
Basic exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Knowledge of Kafka is a plus
