Job summary

Jobtailor in Bengaluru is seeking a skilled QA Automation Engineer to design, build, and maintain automated tests using Playwright, with code in JavaScript and Python. You will work within an Agile team to ensure robust web applications across environments.

The role requires 2–4 years of hands-on testing experience, strong API and performance testing skills, and familiarity with Jenkins, Docker, and cloud deployment pipelines. You will contribute to test data management and quality metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or STEM field required.
• 2 to 4 years of relevant testing experience.
• Experience in Test Automation using Playwright with Javascript and Python.
• Exposure to performance testing with JMeter.
• API automation testing with Postman/Playwright or RestAssured.
• Strong manual testing to derive end-to-end and integration cases.
• Experience executing automated tests with Jenkins.
• Experience with Trello/Rally/ADO for project management.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for testing environments.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and testing pipelines.
• Strong communication to explain complex issues to non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• Education in Computer Science or "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
• 2 to 4 years of experience
• Experience in Test Automation using Playwright and writing code in Javascript and Python
• Exposure in Performance testing using JMeter
• Experience in API Automation testing using Postman/Playwright or RestAssured alongside SOAP/REST
• Strong Manual testing capabilities to derive Functional, End to End, Integration cases
• Experience executing and monitoring automated test suites with Jenkins
• Experience with project management tools such as Trello/Rally/ADO
• Knowledge of Docker and/or Kubernetes for testing environments
• Proficiency in Git/GitHub for version control and collaborative code reviews
• Exposure to Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and their testing/deployment pipelines
• Solid understanding of the underlying infrastructure needed to run a large distributed web application
• Experience in Power Systems domain software is an advantage
• Ability to communicate complex technical issues effectively to non-technical stakeholders
