Jobtailor in Hyderabad is seeking a QA Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks, covering UI, API, and data layers.

You will collaborate with product teams, SRE, and delivery engineers to drive testing excellence, implement CI/CD pipelines, and apply AI-assisted testing approaches to boost quality.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
2-4 years of experience in software testing / quality engineering
Strong experience in test automation
Python preferred (Java or JavaScript automation experience also acceptable)
Hands-on experience with Selenium or similar automation tools
Strong understanding of testing principles, methodologies, and QA best practices
Experience working with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
Experience with version control systems (GitHub)
Exposure to tools like Jira, BrowserStack (or similar)
Basic understanding or awareness of AI in testing
Good communication and collaboration skills
Experience working in product-based companies
Exposure to API or performance testing
Familiarity with tools like New Relic, LaunchDarkly
Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks
Perform functional testing across UI, API, and data layers
Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify defects and areas for improvement
Write test plans and test scenarios, and perform manual testing where required
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies and acceptance criteria
Participate in design and coverage reviews to identify gaps and provide feedback
Support defect triaging, debugging, and resolution
Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and automation practices
Leverage AI-assisted tools such as Copilot to improve testing efficiency
Collaborate with developers, product managers, SRE, infrastructure, and delivery engineers to develop scalable and robust testing solutions
