Job summary

Jobtailor in Bengaluru is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to mentor junior engineers and lead the development of scalable enterprise applications using Java, React, REST APIs, and NoSQL databases.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in CS/CE or related field
7+ years of building full-stack enterprise apps using Java, React, REST APIs and NoSQL
Experience with distributed systems, relational databases, and GraphQL is a plus
Experience in Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and SDLC practices
Automation testing experience and documentation across the SDLC

Job description

Mentor junior Software Engineers and cross-functional colleagues
Provide guidance and support to junior engineers, fostering professional growth and development
Direct the design, development, testing, and deployment of software applications and systems
Oversee tasks, platforms, and technologies to expand new and existing software for changing requirements
Write automated unit tests to ensure correctness and stability
Provide technical guidance on best practices and coding standards
Monitor software performance and implement improvements
Analyze technical challenges and provide innovative solutions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless software integration and deployment
Collaborate with product and business teams to align technology initiatives with business objectives

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and/or comparable experience; advanced degree preferred
Knowledge of distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, NoSQL, and relational databases
7+ years experience building full-stack enterprise applications using Java, React, REST APIs and NoSQL databases
Deep experience with reactive systems and GraphQL a positive
Knowledge of the core tools used in planning, analyzing, crafting, building, testing, configuring, and maintaining assigned applications
Experience in application design, software development, and automated testing
Experience in object-oriented design and coding with a variety of languages
Experience in distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases
Experience in Agile software development methodologies and practices such as Scrum/Kanban, iterations, and user stories
Experience in automation testing and documentation, including automated, functional, and performance testing
Proficiency in AI tools including GitHub Copilot and agentic tools such as Devin and Claude Code throughout the SDLC
Experience building enterprise-grade GenAI applications and end-to-end agentic SDLC workflows is a plus
Comparable experience may substitute for the bachelor’s degree
