Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver training on communication skills, personality development, and workplace readiness.
• Conduct employability training: resume writing, interview prep, GDs, and corporate expectations.
• Design content and materials based on student needs and industry requirements.
• Facilitate learning through role plays, case studies, simulations, and group exercises.
• Assess student employability, provide career guidance and mentoring.
• Coordinate with placement team to align aspirations with opportunities.
• Prepare students for placement drives with mock interviews and aptitude prep.
• Maintain training records, attendance, and progress reports.

Education

Role Overview

The Soft Skills Trainer will be responsible for enhancing students' employability by delivering training on communication, workplace readiness, and professional skills. The role involves understanding students' career aspirations, guiding them toward suitable job domains, assessing their readiness for employment, and working closely with the placement team to improve placement outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Training & Facilitation

• Deliver engaging training sessions on communication skills, personality development, professional etiquette, teamwork, leadership, time management, presentation skills, and workplace readiness.
• Conduct employability training, including resume writing, interview preparation, group discussions, and corporate expectations.
• Design and customize training content, activities, assessments, and learning materials based on student requirements and industry needs.
• Facilitate interactive learning through role plays, case studies, simulations, and group exercises. Student Assessment & Career Guidance
• Interact with students to understand their interests, strengths, career aspirations, and preferred job domains.
• Assess students' employability skills and identify developmental areas.
• Provide career guidance and mentoring to help students make informed career decisions.
• Maintain student profiles, including career preferences, skill assessments, and placement readiness status.
• Support students in developing confidence, professional behavior, and workplace competencies.

Placement Support

• Work closely with the placement team to align student aspirations with available job opportunities.
• Share student profiles and domain preferences with placement coordinators.
• Prepare students for placement drives through mock interviews, aptitude preparation, and pre-placement training.
• Coordinate with employers, placement teams, and institutional stakeholders to support recruitment activities.
• Track interview attendance, offer status, joining status, and placement outcomes.

Reporting & Coordination

• Maintain training records, attendance, assessments, and student progress reports.
• Prepare periodic reports on training effectiveness, student readiness, and placement support activities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth execution of training and placement initiatives.

Qualification & Experience

• Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work (MSW), Human Resources, Education, Counselling, Training & Development, or any other related field.
• Bachelor's Degree holders with relevant experience in training, counselling, employability, or student development may also be considered.
• 15 years of experience in soft skills training, employability training, career counselling, student engagement, recruitment, placement coordination, or workforce development programs.
• Experience working with colleges, educational institutions, CSR initiatives, NGOs, or skill development projects will be an added advantage.
