The Trainer – Soft Skills will be responsible for delivering employability and life skills training to enhance learners' workplace readiness and professional competencies. The role focuses on developing communication skills, personality development, workplace ethics, digital etiquette, and interview readiness to improve learners' confidence and employability. The trainer will also support assessments, learner engagement, and placement readiness while ensuring high-quality training outcomes.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Training Delivery & Classroom Management
- Deliver interactive classroom sessions as per the approved curriculum, session plans, and training schedule.
- Create an engaging and learner-centric environment using experiential learning methodologies, activities, role plays, and group discussions.
- Ensure effective classroom management, learner participation, and discipline throughout the training period.
B. Employability & Skill Development
- Train learners on communication skills, spoken English, personality development, workplace etiquette, professional grooming, teamwork, time management, problem-solving, critical thinking, customer interaction, digital etiquette, workplace ethics, emotional intelligence etc..
- Conduct resume writing sessions, mock interviews, group discussions, presentations, and career readiness activities.
C. Assessments & Learner Progress
- Conduct periodic assessments, assignments, presentations, and practical evaluations to monitor learner progress.
- Maintain learner attendance, assessment records, and training documentation.
D. Placement Readiness & Industry Engagement
- Prepare learners for interviews, workplace behaviour, corporate culture, and professional communication.
- Coordinate with the Placement Officer for mock interviews, employer interactions, guest lectures, and placement activities.
- Provide regular feedback on learner performance and employability readiness.
E. Reporting & Compliance
- Maintain Session plans, attendance records, assessment reports, and training documentation.
- Submit timely progress reports and MIS as required.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, project guidelines, and quality standards.
3. Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline. A degree or certification in Education, Training, or a related field will be preferred.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in soft skills, employability training, corporate training, or skill development programs.
- Experience in NSDC/SSC-aligned training or CSR-funded skilling projects will be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of employability skills, workplace behaviour, communication, and personality development.
- Good understanding of the NSDC ecosystem, NSQF framework, Qualification Packs (QPs), National Occupational Standards (NOS), and competency-based training and assessment methodologies.
- Excellent facilitation, presentation, and public speaking skills.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, mentoring, and coaching abilities.
- Ability to motivate and engage learners from diverse backgrounds.
- Proficiency in MS Office, digital learning platforms, and training documentation.
- Strong assessment, reporting, and learner performance tracking skills.
